This project began as an attempt to recreate the backgrounds of some of my favourite landscape painters. However the results of this exercise merited further exploration on their own.
In this version, 10 variegated lines (each one consisting of a hundred or so coloured rectangles) are post-processed with a little noise, resulting in sometimes diaphanous, sometimes detailed forms and 'landscapes' of the imagination.
You can animate the piece by pressing "A" or stop the animation pressing "H". Change the speed of the animation with "1", "2" or "3". To save a PNG file, press "P" or save an SVG by pressing "S"
WARNING: This project may not work on mobile devices and in some browsers depending on support for SVG and SVG filters.
