I imagined a pipeline that runs within the limits of a three-dimensional cube. Each segment takes an arbitrary direction from time to time, careful not to cross the limits and not to occupy non-free spaces.
It can happen, quite rarely, that the pipeline has no more spaces available... and then the iteration stops, giving rise to a relatively simple structure.
