KM 199 SUL is a photographic work composed by the record of several trips through the interior of the state of São Paulo-SP Brazil, in routes between the cities of Bertioga, Campinas, São Paulo, Araraquara, Jundiai and Bauru. The superimposed images represent the different anthropic and entropy layers that build the Brazilian landscape, a mix between Nature and a precarious modern Industrialization added to an open field created by Agronegocio. Each of the 3 layers that make up this work synthesize the contrasts and impasses of the reality of the Brazilian landscape, creating a new landscape that is built on the repetition of several similar landscapes that were recorded at different points along the way.
