This is a grid-based flow field piece. Variation occurs in colors, size of the flow grid, and the properties of the "streamers" that dynamically draw the piece. The piece will continuously redraw itself after a short delay.
It sometimes feels like a flow field-based piece is a rite of passage in the generative art world. I've explored and used flow fields in a variety of contexts. This piece originally was created while exploring a different concept, for which it did not work. I liked how it sometimes felt organic, sometimes smooth, sometimes jagged, sometimes technical, sometimes painterly... so I decided to spin it off into its own piece.
Take the piece into full screen and the grid will adjust, using the same noise seed for the flow field, to show a larger composition.
