Minted on July 14, 2022 at 22:15StairWaves is a generative collection imagining abstract stairs built in a wavy nature, with shadows being a key theme. While some waves are quite turbulent, others are just flat.
All shapes in the artwork are built using the same core logic applied in different ways. The method used to draw the waves is also used to draw the shadows, as well as the subtle textures on the surface of the waves. This homogeneous approach ensures a consistent and flowy feel to the final output.
StairWaves is coded entirely in p5.js.
Controls (in live view):
Press [2] to render 2000x2000px image
Press [4] to render 4000x4000px image
Press [s] to save the current view (default window size or 2000px or 4000px image)
