Each element (besides the painting ground textures) is based on the underlying subdivided grid which is sometimes exposed like some kind of preliminary drawing.

Note on the split:
After seeing some of the outputs, Sermin had a dream about “Breeding Grounds” and I decided to incorporate events and feelings from her dream into the project. That's how the names of the color palettes came about. Thank you for naming them, Sermin!
