Acid Warning is an algorithm that generates LSD warning labels. When Bear and his students were setting up their Richmond acid lab they commissioned this series of warning label designs for their equipment.
The artwork was abandoned as the chemists quickly found it impossible to avoid getting high while working in the lab. Instead of labeling their laboratory gear, they all embraced the “Acid Makers’ Queasy” for weeks on end. This generative psychedelia project is a reprint of the Bear’s lost Acid Warning series.
