This work is an investigation into the visual weight of colors and based on preliminary research results.

Each piece is based on an accented analogous color scheme and displays a range of hues arranged around a single primary color, balanced them with a complimentary colored "accent object". An algorithm varies the size of the fields and their lightness to keep the composition in balance. The primary color is denoted by one out of 24 color tables, there are four different paper stocks and the accent object can have three shapes: circle (75%), diamond (20%) and hexagon (5%).

I view this as a celebration of stability and harmony in unquiet times. To me, these compositions almost have a meditative quality: Looking at them makes me feel at ease and content.
