H II region, also known as the ionized region or emission nebula, is a region of space that contains ionized hydrogen gas. These regions are usually located near young and hot stars that produce strong ultraviolet radiation and ionize the hydrogen gas around them. As a result of their light emission at different wavelengths, they are often seen as colorful and beautiful clouds in telescopic images.
