”◉◉◉vaque” is one of the ”◉◉◉” series. The base algorithm is the same as ”◉◉◉”, using point size reduction and random walks.
The ”◉◉◉vaque” algorithm was discovered by chance, and variations were explored over the months of July and August 2023.
The ”◉◉◉” series is concerned with the circle as an indivisible, atomic element. There is no particular theme or concept behind the ”◉◉◉vaque” forms.
Actually, in the process of changing random() to fxrand(), some functions stopped working. However, I left it as it was because I thought the output was better by doing so.
My exploration of the circle in generative art through the ”◉◉◉” series has led me to be very interested in Taro Okamoto's depiction of the atomic bomb explosion in "The Myth of Tomorrow" as a series of overlapping green, yellow, black, and gray circles, and Toshinobu Onosato's experience of Siberian internment after World War II, when he began drawing obsessive circles. I am very interested in these episodes. I would like to write a text on the representation of the circle in postwar Japanese manga and painting, and its relation to current Generative Art.
