An ode to our short lives & our even shorter years, a lingering feeling of it having escaped through our grasp as we were just about to comprehend its meanings, shoved into another cycle of life and death. Unlike our cosmos both above and below, the universe and the microscopic world - omnipresent and continuous; time almost feels like a prison on land, a boat without a sail in the sea, an astronaut without a spaceship - a binding of our mind and behaviour. As if we were too afraid to face the eternal chain of feedback loop that engulfs us all. So as this year comes to an end and another one begins, here is my last piece.
This year was full of surprises for all of us, packed with floods, fires, hurricanes, wars and amazing new discoveries! This piece was inspired by the constant yearning to escape into the endless space. And as James Web Telescope keeps discovering new stuff out there, it makes me question - is the big bang real? Or has it always been like this? Are we very close to discovering something new? What if just like time, space was just another loop? How do the different dimensions intertwine with each other? Despite all hardships, this year end seems to bring about hope - hope for a better exciting future. Hope that we might survive our doomsday. Hope that we might actually be ready to face the endless void beyond earthly time and space.
And with that said I hereby introduce my last piece for 2022, the cosmic fidget spinner with melancholic 90s generative audio!
