Swimbots are colorful wiggly creatures that evolved out of my artificial life experiments beginning in the mid 1990's. Now, as the result of a creative collaboration with Canton Becker, we're offering a limited number of artfully-mutated swimbots and releasing them into the wild, as NFTs.

Each NFT is a portrait of a unique swimbot flaunting its characteristic shape, wiggle, and coloration against a stylized background. Some backgrounds are quite rare.

Swimbots NFTs are more interesting when they interact! When placed into a common "gene pool", they mate, compete for food, and evolve... essentially forever. To that end, every NFT will also be spawned in a pool on the swimbots website. NFT holders can use this site to run simulations and competitions to see how good their swimbots are at propagating their genes into the future. Will your swimbot sink or swim?
