Tournaments are just what they sound like! A bunch of Heroes sign up for a tournament, and the system creates battles for each round until we have a final winner! In ChainBorn tournaments it's winner takes it all, so possibilities for making some big 💰 here are huge 😬&#x20;

# Creating a Tournament

Anyone can create a Tournament in ChainBorn. On the tournaments page there will be a "Create Tournament" button. A tournament is it's own separate contract originated by the tournament creator. You have a few options to select when creating a tournament:

-   **Name** - Give the Tournament a name
-   **Max experience** - Limit the participants by setting a max experience required to join
-   **Min experience** - Limit the participants by setting a min experience required to join
-   **Entrance fee** - The fee each participants pays to enter. All the entrance fee goes to the winner (minus a small platform fee)
-   **Number of participants** - This must be either 4, 8, 16 or 32 in order for the tournament battles to add up 😅&#x20;
-   **Additional rewards** - If you really want to incentivize people to participate in your tournament, you can add additional rewards for the winner!!

Setting some constraints on the experience level required to join is perhaps a good idea - it will give each participant a better chance to win!

# Running Tournaments

We are super keen to see what people will use tournaments for! It can be just for **fun**, **winnings** or even for some **promotion**? If you have some **competition** or **raffle** to run, why not use a ChainBorn tournament to select the winner? 🙌 &#x20;

Even tough tournaments can be a super fun and social experience, **be aware that battles in ChainBorn are still async** - meaning we must allow time for people to take they turn in a battle. Stuff might happen IRL that they need to deal with and we don't want them to loose their battle because of this. So the 24h timeout is still in effect also for tournament battles.

Still, we hope to see **twitter spaces** and **twitch streams** of interactive battles - just get everyone coordinated before you start 😉&#x20;
