### - ETH payments on fxhash

Cross chain functionality has inched closer to fxhash reality with the integration of ETH payments as a part of the Winter payment suite. Only (as of now) available for secondary purchases, it is still a huge step in a more open direction.

Paying with ETH incurs a 2% fee (vs 5% for credit card) plus gas fee and can be used by connecting your wallet to your Winter payment method.

### - Erik Swahn on Verse

How many iterations of Erik Swahn's *Fields* have you saved for potentially minting next week? According to Jamie Gourlay of Verse, over 9k images have been save across accounts, or over 11x the number of mints available....&#x20;

We are both incredibly excited to see how this plays out and the full collection of curated pieces. We have our lists, now to whittle it down to the shortlist.

### - Slowing down

Artist Alejandro brought an interesting subject to bear this week on Twitter, namely the need to slow down and release (and, perhaps) work with more intention. This feels critically important in today's market, which has an obvious mismatch in terms of supply and demand.

He very much caveats his approach with disclaimers that this is not is primary source of income, but the message is clear; the time investment in becoming better as a creative coder and solidifying his artistic vision for future work will be more than worth it.

## 02. Market index update

This week marks the beginning of March and thus our second monthly index update in addition to the weekly. The numbers are a bit dire (nothing but red in sight!), but we hope to see a resurgence once the market stabilizes.

## 03. Projects of the week

### - pile

And thus abstractment becomes the first artist to complete a pair of Tender collaborations! *pile* is the first collab to use the burn mechanism, with the a full 1,077 editions open for just 6 hours of minting. 276 were ultimately minted before the burn, representing great momentum and value for purchasers. The stellar animation and texture of the color in the piece is spot on, too ;)

### - Contemporary Relief

The (unofficial) second collaboration between markknol and Reinder Nijhoff is a masterclass in taste and neumorphic design. Although ultimately burned without any of the 1% chance for a skull shape minted, it was amazing to see so many amazing pieces that play with depth, light, and shadow reveal themselves.

### - Décollage

Would it even be a week without Landlines aka Extracurricular Activities dropping an amazing project unannounced at an inopportune time? *D*é*collage* has had some hit or miss secondary performance, but the pieces and palettes that stand out are absolutely stunning. There is a lot to learn from this project regarding public sentiment and preferences, and we aren't mad about it.

### - Non-fxhash projects

Over on Art Block we saw an interesting collaboration, [*Jenim*](https://www.artblocks.io/collections/presents/projects/0x99a9b7c1116f9ceeb1652de04d5969cce509b069/410), between Orr Kislev and Alona Rodeh. It is an accurate representation of the process to create a pair of jeans from the wash to the destruction, and over time will show the material change with 'use.' Powerfully, the project also speaks also to the huge environmental impact that the garment has. *Jenim* is still available to mint.

Sarah Ridgely also had a new release, [*Ateliers*](https://verse.works/artworks/16ec6e3d-8d73-4e17-bdb1-e029f781d0fd), this week over on Verse. While we don't love the use of collector curation here (as with [*Cosmic Rays*](https://verse.works/artworks/d9f1b2e7-6cdc-434e-8b36-ef642df7dceb) and [*Fields*](https://verse.works/artworks/2ba8a0f4-44f1-4c2c-8227-1fb9724bb5f3)) due to the long animation, we do love the project itself. It plays on Sol LeWitt’s observation that “the most interesting characteristic of the cube is that it is relatively uninteresting.” These cubes, however, are fascinating as hell.

Eric De Giuli (aka EDG aka pepe\_\_xyz) released a new project via Art Blocks Curated. [*Calian*](https://www.artblocks.io/collections/curated/projects/0x99a9b7c1116f9ceeb1652de04d5969cce509b069/416) cannot be judged on the image above -- it must be interacted with, played with, fully explored. With a current floor price of \~0.63Ek it is an animated piece not to miss.
