Color Study II
I posted my piece, Color Study I, and immediately began work on Color Study II. I was itching to add more visual complexity to the outputs and to dive deeper into my generalized color model. In Color Study I used a fixed tetradic color scheme. In the next iteration of the model, I wanted to be able to select at will the model - monochromatic, analogous, complementary, split complementary, triadic, or tetradic - and a primary, driving hue for each output. After spending a day or so implementing that extension, I took up the nagging issue of the visual complexity of the design. Being, at this point, much more fluent in Photoshop than p5.js, I was soon happily producing Photoshop based collages using outputs from the Color Study I script. These were my prototypes for what would become Color Study II.
