aoon + c.o.l.o.r.mix & others

The alphabetical order of numbers' [aoon] and c.o.l.o.r.mix are artistic projects that use computer programming and linguistics to challenge conventional classification methods. The first, focusing on numbers, deconstructs their traditional mathematical sequence by rearranging them according to the alphabetical order of their names. This approach generates a dynamic and intriguing visual experience, particularly in its generative version, which presents a desynchronized and chaotic sequence of numbers. c.o.l.o.r.mix, by mixing the letters of color names (transcribed in their corresponding hues), evokes the mixing of the colors themselves. This exploration, initiated on a monochrome computer, has evolved into a generative application that creates all possible combinations of color pairs from a palette of 11 colors. The application endlessly generates unique pages, each displaying an unprecedented combination of unknown words, in a perpetual process aimed at exploring the entirety of possible color combinations. These two projects, by challenging established classification methods, use computer programming and linguistics to create an artistic experience that blurs the traditional boundaries between words, colors, and their conventional meanings.
